Command Object

Command object picture

The Command object is a specialzed Label whose text can change based on a channel level. The Command object can be used to display the state of a non-intensity channel which might control a non-dim, hazer volume, gobo selection, fixture reset, etc. In addition to the level-selected text, it can show a permanent label, the channel number, and the raw DMX level.

Command Object Properties
  • channel - Channel number. Matching channel number in the Patch window specifies which DMX universe and slot prodives level data for the object.

  • label - Optional label text to be displayed.

  • states - List of states and associated levels in the form STATE@LEVEL, STATE@LEVEL, etc. For example, a non-dim that switches on at 50% would have this states property: 'OFF@0, ON@50'. To use raw DMX levels instead of percentages, add 'd' to the level: 'OFF@0d, ON@128d'.

  • color - The drawing color for all text. Click the color swatch to open the standard Mac/Windows color picker. This color is linkable
